Prayer Request
Brian & Shannon Bishop lost everything this weekend in a massive house fire. Thankfully, no one was at home. Please pray for them this Christmas.

Eddie
We are happy to announce the arrival of the newest member of our family...Eddie! We adopted Eddie from the animal shelter about three weeks ago and the boys love him. We went back and forth for some time on the whole dog issue. In the end, I'm sure I could not refuse anything that would make my three favorite guys so happy. I had some stipulations though. I wanted him to be small enough to keep clean. I cannot bring myself to have a dog that is just tied in the yard or trapped in a kennel until someone decides to amuse themselves with it. No, if we have a dog we will give it a home AND a family. This is why I had to have a dog who could easily bathed. It was on our third or fourth trip to the animal shelter that we found Eddie. Eddie seems very happy with us, he loves the boys, and takes is job as dogie guard very seriously.
My Baby is Three!
Thank you Janette for a beautiful John Deere cake! The picture does no do it justice. Yes, Cayden is his Grandpa Bishop's grandson.
The pinata was a hit (no pun intended). Thank you Andrew for the wonderful contribution!
The highly anticipated trumpet that Cayden has been asking for almost daily. He could not be happier. For all you relatives who live far away, Cayden is truly a wonderful little man. I am very proud to be his mommy.

Cayden
This is my big boy Cayden. He is really in to playing church. He can keep himself entertained for hours being the preacher, song leader, trumpet player, and amen corner. All kids mimic what they know, and even most of the time, what they admire. I know some would look at our family and pity these little boys who have no idea about the characters on "Cars", or even "Mickey Mouse." The first song my boy could sing from memory was not "It's A Small World," or even, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." The first song he could sing by heart was, "Standing On The Promises," and I wouldn't want it any other way.

A Reason to Celebrate

Four years ago today I was privileged to marry David Spivey. We have been through difficult times and wonderful times. He has been my rock and my hero. Today I want to first of all thank God for giving me this precious gift, and second thank my wonderful man for the unconditional love and unending patience he has shown me over the past four years. I can't figure out how to play my own music on this blog so I'll write the words out to "our song".
One day, far away, you gently won my heart
And one night, by candlelight, we made a vow to never part
And then it seemed just like a dream
When wide eyed, side by side
We faced the future holding hands
Years fly, they hurry by, the simple times are gone
Bills due, a kid or two, a week can feel eight days long
By fading light, let's kiss goodnight
And then we trace God's daily grace
Thankful we're still holding hands
There's a hope that won't let go
There's a truth we know
God is holding us
In His arms
Thoughts stray far away to all that lies ahead
In frail days when strength fades
Will we still mean all that we said?
Our love's secure, so rest assured
Come what may 'til that day
We'll walk forever holding hands
By God's grace 'til that day
We'll walk forever holding hands

AHHHHHH.........MICHIGAN

We just returned from a great week on lake Michigan with many family members and good friends. From the almost empty beeches to uncle Pete's awesome breakfasts, it was a week that I did not want to see come to an end. I did not want to take the time to comment on each photo so I will give a short preamble. The week is mostly spent enjoying the primitive beauty in Manistee National Forrest. Good food, good fellowship, and stressful ROOK games are part of the daily routine. We take one night and go to town for dinner and very competitive go-cart races.

My Boys
Yes, this is my boy Cayden eating hot dogs in a winter hat and his fathers head scarf. He was sure that this was how it should be worn. He thought this was cool for days and yes, it was very hot outside! Do you think I would let him go out in public like this? Absolutely! Oh how I am enjoying these days.
